What Will You Learn?

You will learn what it takes to become an astronomer! This includes basic optics, how a telescope is constructed, various ways to operate it, and how to use both digital and analog tools. Discover the differences between the various objects in the sky and learn which ones you can find during different times of the season.

The telescope course is tailored to the participants’ skill levels, whether you are a beginner or experienced. If you already own a telescope, we will guide you on how to use it during the course. If you don’t have a telescope, you can borrow one from us or order one through our online store.

Membership in an Astronomy Association

If you’re interested in joining an astronomy association, we recommend visiting the Norwegian Astronomical Society at astronomi.no. There, you can search for a local astronomy group to visit. You can also subscribe to the magazine Astronomi, which we highly recommend for all amateur astronomers.
